Are you a fan of outdoor concerts and music festivals? How about wine? Then you should know about the Chateau Ste Michelle Summer Concert Series June through Sept every year.
Located in Woodinville, Washington, just 18 miles north east of Seattle, this beautiful property hosts some big names in music each summer. Starting in 1984, the Summer Concert Series has had names like James Taylor, The Beach Boys, Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind & Fire, Diana Krall, Mark Knopfler, Alison Krauss, Crosby Stills & Nash, John Legend, and Sarah McLachlan, just to name a few.
We’ve seen Michael Franti there, and I’m super bummed that I missed out on tickets to see him this year with Ziggy Marley! You can get reserved seating for the concerts, but for the Franti show, we bought general seating on the lawn and brought our chairs and blankets. Attendees are welcome to bring food and unopened non alcoholic beverages to the concerts. Of course wine is available for purchase and food vendors are set up selling food and ice cream.

Net proceeds from the annual concert series help fund Chateau Ste. Michelle’s charitable contributions program, which has supported a broad range of more than 400 non-profit organizations. Throughout the history of the concert series, it has provided more than $3 million for scholarships for colleges throughout the state and supported the viticulture and enology program at Washington State University.
