You may think that minor changes to your routine aren’t going to yield the kind of results you’re hoping for, but you CAN begin to upgrade your lifestyle by simply drinking more water.

Offspring and I just returned from a fun 10 day getaway to Palm Springs. As defined by Meredith from That’s Inappropriate, we were on a trip as opposed to a vacation which is something parents take without their kids, LOL.

I’m living my dream by traveling with my daughter. I love being able to take her back to the desert where she was born and go up the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, watch live Polo matches, attend the Date Festival, and visit the Living Desert Reserve to practice her Paleontology skills.

We took bottles of water with us everywhere we went in the desert.  As I’ve said before, when we’re in the desert, we are acutely aware of our thirst, much more so than when we’re up in Canada. I can’t honestly say it is a healthy choice we’re making by drinking more water down there, it’s really a necessity!

Whether you choose to call it a trip, a vacation, or a getaway, we got back with our vitamin D replenished, feeling energized, yet exhausted from a whirlwind itinerary of fun, and happy to be home.

Our flight was delayed, and delayed again, and my friend who was picking us up had to wait at the airport until midnight for our flight to arrive. We met up with her and her kids after school the next day, and as I was apologizing and thanking her again, I noticed something. She didn’t look tired from being up late and getting up early to get the kids to school. In fact, she was GLOWING.

I asked her if she’d gotten back into to her hot yoga practice or found some new miracle product.

Nope.

She said she simply upped her water intake to 2 – 3 liters a day.

I have a liter in front of me as I’m typing this. I want that glow!

Adjust Your Daily Routine with Baby Steps to Better Health

Winter illnesses have kept me from maintaining a normal workout routine, but I have been drinking 1 to 1.5 liters a day. While on our trip to the desert, I’m sure we were both drinking more than that, especially on the hot days. Now that we’re back and both healthy, I’m upping our water intake again and getting us back into some form of daily motion. See how I don’t commit to an actual exercise program? Offspring loves to do yoga with me, and I’d love to, at minimum do that daily.

Here’s a video of her teaching her Grandpa some yoga moves while she was still in diapers:

  1. I can say that games develop motor skills, coordination, attentiveness and concentration – but again, this depends solely on the person and his goals. You cannot take this as a panacea, you should always take care of your health with the help of certified specialists.

  3. Rehabilitation centers are doing a very good job they operate on a simple belief that the spirit, mind, and body have a deep connection. and this is essential for therapy. Keep in mind that with drug addiction all these three areas of human life are affected.
