Jackson, Wyoming has a reputation as a world class ski area, but you can have fun there year-round, and it’s an amazing place to create memories with your family.  If you’re planning a trip to Jackson Hole with kids, whether winter or summer, there’s plenty to do in this outdoor wonderland.

Jackson Hole refers to an entire valley, including the town of Jackson, Teton Village, Wilson, the Aspens, Moran Junction, Moose, and surrounding areas.

Granite Hot Springs – During summer you can drive to it and in the winter you can take a dogsled or snowmobile and swim in the hot pools in the snow!

Snowmobile Through Yellowstone National Park – all snowmobiles entering Yellowstone National Park are now required to be accompanied by a professional guide employed by an authorized tour company.

Aerial Tram rides at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort – Take the tram to get an amazing 360-degree views of the Tetons, Jackson Hole valley and surrounding mountain ranges.  The tram glides up 4139 vertical feet In just 12 minutes!

  1. The sleigh ride on the Elk Refuge was a fun family experience. It is easy to arrange the sleigh ride yourself at the visitor center. The sleigh ride is 25 per person. We were able to see the elk up close….when we were there, the sleigh rides had just started. Elk was on the preserve but not as many as will be there in the upcoming months. The sleighs are led by Percheron horses. The horses pulling our sleigh were Apollo and Zeus and they were impressive workhorses. They have blankets for you on the sled.
