Japanese Emoticons

When a smiley face just won’t do, you need to use one of these Japanese Emoticons.  There are thousands of them.  There are several websites dedicated to listing all of them, like this one:  http://japaneseemoticons.net/

A number of the emoticons use a symbol for the nose that looks remarkably like testicles.  ( •̀ω•́ )σ  Maybe it’s just me.

The emoticon on the photo below describes Ebi’s mood toward the end of our most recent Sunday at the polo fields.  I cropped her friends out because she looks like she wants to eat one of them!  A few minutes after this was taken she was sitting alone on a lawn chair, and my Mom asked her what she was doing.  She replied,  “Ugggghhh, I’m just being dramatic!”
