Looking for a summer camp that will instill in your kids a love of nature and in particular of the ocean? I was looking for summer camps in Vancouver and found this one! Sea Smart School offers outdoor programs at the beautiful Acadia Beach in Vancouver’s Pacific Spirit Park.
Vivi and I saw Marine Biologist and Sea Smart School founder Elaine Leung speak at WE Day last year. Vivi has been interested in protecting the ocean as long as I can remember (she’s always wanted to be a mermaid), but since our kayak was bumped by a 20′ whale shark in Loreto, she’s been even more connected!
Sea Smart’s summer camps literally get your child’s feet wet in the world of marine biology!
Promising to give your kids the chance to explore and connect with their natural environment and gain a sense of wonder and appreciation, the Ocean Adventurer summer camps allow kids to explore our oceans in a safe and fun outdoor environment!
Through fun, interactive activities, kids learn about the role they can play in protecting our oceans and environment.
At Sea Smart camp kids build essential life skills such as creative thinking, personal awareness, and social responsibility, while gaining an awareness and appreciation of our incredible natural surroundings.
Sea Smart also gives back to the community by offering pay what you can bursary spots for kids with financial need or special circumstances.
Sign up for Sea Smart Summer camp here. Note, the registration page comes up after you select the t-shirt size and add it to your cart.
If you’re looking for interesting and meaningful summer camps in Vancouver, I believe that Sea Smart School is the one. Watch for our update later this month after Vivi has attended the camp. We’re both excited about this gifted experience!
