Township7 Vineyards and Winery #ExploreBCIn September, my father invited his sisters to come celebrate the 60th anniversary of their arrival in Canada. They came across on a ship from the UK into the port of Vancouver and their first home was in Crescent Beach.  Sept 10th was the anniversary, and Dad planned a weekend filled with nostalgic events.  One sister fell ill and couldn’t make it, but the other two did and the rest of us got to join in on some of the fun.

During the festivities, we were introduced to a winery in our neighborhood, Township 7 in Langley, BC.  We attended one of their Sunday open houses where they had live music, games set up on the lawn, wine tastings, and of course wine for sale by the bottle or glass.  We picked up some awesome food at the White Rock Farmer’s Market and had a picnic beside the grapevines.  It was lovely and we vowed to hang out there a lot more often.

This week a few of my friends and I returned to the tasting room to have lunch and a tasting.  It was sensational, and 4 out of 5 of us are now members of Club 7.  There is no kitchen on site, so visitors are welcome to bring food (and plates, napkins, and utensils).  It’s always a good idea to call in and make sure the space is available.

I highly recommend Township 7 wines, I’ve tasted a lot of them now and there wasn’t a single one that I didn’t want to take home with me.  This is not a sponsored post.  I’m just super excited that this place is so awesome, and is only 10 minutes from home!
