Offspring is really excited about the season. She loves skiing, building snowmen, making snow angels, ice skating, sledding, all of the winter activities that I packed up and moved to the Bahamas to get away from in my 20’s. I have to admit that seeing it through her eyes, with the sparkly filter of joy that she applies to everything, has me feeling the magic.
This video also brings me back to my roots.
We have some lights up, and this weekend we’re going to the tree farm to pick out a Christmas tree. I haven’t done any shopping yet, but I did order some Christmas cards through Shutterfly, as well as an ornament. Honestly, I’m not ready for Christmas at all, but I’m ready for the school break to start so we can have some fun!
